Topic: Custom tuning with layers

Hi all,

I'm wondering if/how we can make a custom tuning apply to all instruments that we layer. I imported a scala file but it seems to apply only to the first instrument in the layer; the second instrument seems to play in equal temperament regardless of the tuning file I import.

Just wondering if there's a trick to get this done, or if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's not supported.

Thanks!

Open the Morph/Layers window. Open the Advanced Tuning window (the small button at upper right of the Tuning panel of the main window).

Select a preset for each of two layers.
Click the Edit button to the right of the first layer entry.
In the Advanced Tuning window, choose a tuning or a Scala .scl file.
Click the Edit button to the right of the second layer entry.
In the Advanced Tuning window, choose a tuning or a Scala file for that second layer.
(Repeat for additional layers.)
Then click the Save icon or File menu-->Save preset, and save your custom layer with a unique name.

Now when the layered preset is next used, each layer should retain and use the Scala files or other tuning you selected for them.
Confirm by selecting the custom layered preset, opening both the Morph/Layers and Advanced Tuning windows, and clicking the Edit button to the right of each layer in the preset, in the Morph/Layers window.
