Topic: My bank turns my credit card off if I order on Modarrt?

Tried to purchase Steinway B pack...bank flagged Modarrt as possible fraud and turned off my credit card!  What a hassle that was getting it turned back on as I have recurring charges that needed to be paid!

Why is Modarrt flagging as possible fraud???

I am in the US, and have ordered some BF goodies from UK/EU, and my cc company also was not happy, concerned about potential fraud.

Used PP at Modartt.

PayPal would probably work but I have a strong aversion to it due to all the deplatforming they do if you say something they dont like online...wink.. PayPal is way too anti free speech.

I don't understand this. PayPal is not a social media company. How would they deplatform anybody? They have nothing to do with speech, just financial transactions.

Maybe A.I. machine learning gone wrong!? These neural networks deep learning stuff keeps on invading our lives its been used in medicines, banks, face recognition, credit cards, hiring firms as some sort of an automated measure on good behaviour pattern recognition sh?t. And when it goes wrong, nobody is responsible for it. But in fact, some bias is encoded into it in the most subtle of ways.

Yeah...my bank issued a new credit card...it wasn't a high value item...I was just trying to buy the Steinway B ... no big deal.  I'm in the states and perhaps they didn't like seeing a charge coming from France?

Please contact our support team, and we will check how come it does not work for you.

We have not heard of any issues with PayPal recently. So, there must be something else that causes it.

Not just a decline...they shut my credit card off and I needed a new one.  Scares me away from Modarrt purchases.  I use the card for a lot of stuff and it really messes me up.  I was able to purchase the 8.0 update no problem.  But adding instruments probably won't be happening for me.

Can't speak for other countries, but if you're in the US, credit card companies definitely put up red flags for foreign purchases. I pretty much always get some kind of notice and have had plenty of declined transactions; can be quite a pain. I haven't had a card canceled from it, but some CC companies are particularly bad (Chase...). A possible solution: call your CC company before making the purchase, so they have a heads up that a legit foreign transaction is about to take place. That's at least what mine recommends.
