Topic: MacOS Monterey usb audio device after sleep
I have a Macbook Pro which was recently upgraded to MacOS Monterey (12.0.1). I use an external M-Audio USB audio device for sound output (from the Mac and Pianoteq).
When the Mac sleeps (and I mean a full sleep, which will drop USB power) and wakes, Mac OS can see (and use) the M-Audio audio device, but Pianoteq doesn't. It displays a message saying that the M-Audio device is missing. Quitting and restarting Pianoteq will fix the problem - it'll then use the M-Audio device.
Before I upgraded to Monterey, Pianoteq would always notice that the USB device was present when the Mac woke from sleep. I never needed to quit and restart Pianoteq.
I suspect that something's changed in Mac OS Monterey and Pianoteq may not be correctly handling system events relating to USB audio devices.
Has anyone else experienced this?
