Thanks again budo! This time it’s again like I said in your ”I’m getting sentimental…”, It is like an elegant walk with more and more improvisations a bit more and more away from the theme/melody, and then back, but same nice tempo. Both enjoyable, but I like the second one even more, it sounds difficult and one can really hear when you let the natural talent flow from your fingertips in this ”Smoke gets….” piece. Great, cool, excellent !

thank you for your kind comments. "Smoke ..." is one of the all-time great ballads. it's also one of the few standards i know that goes into the key of B (for the bridge ... Kern liked this modulation down a major 3rd a la Beethoven and used it a lot). i actually did the song in a different key (had to do that for a singer so just stuck with it). here's the great Teddy Wilson performing it:
