Topic: Pianoteq Activation Trouble

I have a Linux  computer that I occasionally upgrade the OS to a more recent Linux and each time I do a full install the hard drive is reformatted.  Then after I have to use a new activation.

So my activations show that I have used an activation for "cy2r" MX990" and "mxe", well these 3 are all the same computer!  The pianoteq activation scheme can't tell that.

Now I got a new Windows computer and can't install Pianoteq on it because I don't have any activations when the reality is that I only have pianoteq installed on 1 computer.

It's very annoying.  I thought I was going to use Pianoteq on my new Windows computer but I can't.

Not sure this will be of any help, but in the case of my Raspberry Pi, which I have upgraded several times, I set a custom hostname which I use after every upgrade, and so far I have only used one activation.

I run Pianoteq on linux and windows on the same PC using just a slot. I suggest you to change the name of the PC at the "update licence" dialog on PT, set a name you recognize and deactivate the other slots. Anyway there must be another factor because when I re install PT, my PC is auto detected and not extra slot is used.

Re: Pianoteq Activation Trouble

I have more or less the same issue.

I have a zbook from HP. When I installed Pianoteq 7, I was using a dock station from HP.

The trouble comes when I disconnect the dock station or use the power charger that comes with the laptop, then Pianoteq tells me to re-activate. I haven't done the re-activation yet but as I can see, I would need spend more activations.

Also, the name of my computer is not changing, so it basically ask me to re-activate a computer with the same name. It is pretty weird because the only thing I am doing is disconnecting my computer from the dock station.
