Topic: Vivaldi ”Spring”, second movement, Largo from The Four Seasons.
I had forgotten this one.
My arrangement, short version, on Vivaldi ”Spring”, second movement, Largo from The Four Seasons.
Sound/arrangement:
Layering Pianoteq NY Steinway New Age, Hand Pan natural hand played, MK I Sweet Flanger,
Using 2 different Organteq sound layered in the melody
Orgtq background sound + Orgtq bass, pedal.
Unusual for the period, Vivaldi published the concerti with accompanying sonnets (possibly written by the composer himself) that elucidated what it was in the spirit of each season that his music was intended to evok.
Vivaldi took great pains to relate his music to the texts of the poems, translating the poetic lines themselves directly into the music on the page. I'm wondering what Vivaldi would have thought of this version with these sounds ?
Anyway, Enjoy,
