Topic: Summer Sketch - Ducks’ ”vocalizations” with Organteq

OrganSummer sketch - Small birds and ducks - a short humorous composition, made on the impulse of the moment, (think that is ex tempore
Recorded with headphones. Inspired by Amaryllis’ sketch, thought I make one too

The familiar "quack" attributed to all ducks is usually the female mallard's quacking, though many female dabbling ducks make similar quacking noises. Quacks are not the only sounds in ducks' vocabularies, though. While ducks generally do not sing, they can make a variety of vocalizations, including: Barks, growls, honks, peeps, squeaks and so on…(Melissa Maynz, the Spruce)

I tried to get some of these ”vocalizations” with Orgateq sound, playing low and high…
Enjoy,

Stig

No sadness here. Very bountiful, Stig !
I can imagine the "movie"

Re: Summer Sketch - Ducks’ ”vocalizations” with Organteq

Reminds me of Prokofiev...on organ!  I can just hear Leonard Bernstein narrating the duck from Peter and the Wolf with the orchestra playing behind him.  Thanks for the nostalgic reminiscence.

Thank you for liking the music    Maybe I should film ducks and mallards this summer, if I can find them in a suitable place, and add the music to the film….

And thanks for remembering Peter and the wolf !  I listened many many times to the story with my pupils, when teached about orchestra instruments. In the version we listened to, or looked at on a vhs cassette video,  the wolf coughed and the duck came out at he end, living. Happy ending

I'm so glad my music made you remember .... it's often the best feedback when people react strongly in some way...
Some pupils were afraid of the wolf - so, don't be afraid of the wolf
