Topic: Presets data comparison

Hello,

Is there a way to compare all data values between presets ?

Or maybe (even better) a way to export the presets data to a spreadsheet ?

Re: Presets data comparison

Currently, if you load one preset in A (click the A/B icon to select these), then load a different one into the B slot, then if you right-click the A/B button, you see a readout of all parameters which are different.

Having that data in full (for manipulation) has been requested in the past but for now, we can switch between A and B presets to examine each control's diff.

The reason I'd like having this data, is that I could make a human judgement about creating, for example, a 3rd preset by looking at the numbers and choosing values between.

Maybe that's old-school now tho given that, there's now the morph tool, so no human calculation is even required to make a new preset from 2 existing ones.

Re: Presets data comparison

I agree. And in many cases, seeing the numbers could be very useful.

Also, it would help "debugging" presets. I have a lot of keyswitch controllers for parameters. Sometimes I accidentally trigger a parameter and save the preset without noticing. Later, when I hear back the preset, something sounds wrong but I'm not sure exactly what it is. I could go back to a backup copy, but then I could lose other changes made that I want to keep.
