Topic: Odd tuning

I've just downloaded a trial of pianoteq7. On starting it up (in a DAW or standalone) it seems to be tuned 6 and bit semitones too low i.e. I when playing an E I get somewhere between B flat and A below the E.
I haven't done anything clever to alter tunings and am trying to figure out why this should be happening - has anyone experienced anything similar - have I done something silly that I'm not aware of - have read FAQs and manuals but they haven't helped.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Rod,

This is just a thought, and you might have already done this.  There seems to be a mismatch in the sample rate between your DAW and Pianoteq.  Have you tried restarting you computer to see if the pitch is still off by 6 semitones?

Cheers,

Joe

Re: Odd tuning

Thanks Joe

It turned out to be a mismatch between ASIO4ALL driver settings and pianoteq's device settings - so along the lines of what you suspected and your suggestion got me thinking in the right direction.

Cheers
