Topic: Thanks to Modartt for 2020. And a Happy 2021.

It was quite a difficult year, pandemic, restrictions, social isolation, and losts.

Modartt kept working, making progress, listening to the wishes, bringing new features, new piano sound improvements, a organ, a new excellent piano model.
Like someone already said, it helped people stay home or keep mind focused.

Philippe, Julien, Niclas, Juliette, Roman, Robin. I believe everyone in the forum share a sense of gratitude for your work.
Have a happy and bright 2021.

Yes let us all hope the vaccines get rolling and we can have a semi-normal 2021 by the mid summer.

Stay safe Modartt team!

Wholeheartedly, yes. Lovely sentiment Beto.

And thank you too for all you do. Always when I see "Beto has posted something" I'm often in for a smile and a treat, a cool idea and some friendly words. All the best to you.

Happy New Year!

Oh, thanks folks.
I see Modartt have a new member.

Re: Thanks to Modartt for 2020. And a Happy 2021.

Thanks to all the modartt team for this great pianoteq year. Version 7 is so marvellous. More I play, more I love...
I particularly love all the modern grand pianos, so I finally bought all of them.
Which piano will you prepare for us this year ? I hope another grand piano... why not a bosendorfer, a fazioli or the "Barenboim" maene ?

Re: Thanks to Modartt for 2020. And a Happy 2021.

Like I said in other occasion, Barenboin-Maene it's very interesting, the only modern straight strung piano, as straight strung produces more clear voices and colors when compared to cross-stringing.

https://www.chrismaene.be/websites/1/up...%20Res.pdf

Only Modartt can get the best of both worlds, a piano able to preserve the rich&clear colors of a straight strung piano and the advantages of longer strings, at same time. After all, pianoteq technology can "tricky" some laws of physiscs, like space limitations, and put long strings sound without need to cross it.

Like card tricks...

Perhaps even better would be a feature to allow to "uncross the strings" of all cross-stringing pianoteq models. But I'm not sure if this would be possible or easier, keeping most originality of each model. In case it's possible, a uncrossed version of Steinway-D would probably sound close (in some way) to the Brenboin-Maene piano.
