Topic: What features are _actually_ enabled in Stage / Standard

The documentation states that "Piano model tweaking" is not available in Stage but this phrase is not explained further, e.g. is "unison width" part of piano model tweaking and hence not available in Stage?

Re: What features are _actually_ enabled in Stage / Standard

I have found this description on the website which helps:

Pianoteq 7 Standard offers unique powerful tools to enhance and modify the sound, such as changing the unison width, hammer hardness and string length. You can place up to 5 virtual microphones around the instrument and load external reverb impulse files. You can morph and layer instruments together.

This answers my query. It may be advantageous if each feature discussed in the user manual included a tag indicating which tier it is available in. As suggested in another post, it would also be advantageous if the trial version offered a mechanism to select the tier and showed the application configured for that tier.

Re: What features are _actually_ enabled in Stage / Standard

This comes up occasionally riban. Good to see you found that paragraph.

I'd definitely recommend to install the Standard demo as well as the Stage version demo, to get to try out all the extra tools which are not included in Stage. (they can install side by side).

The tools in Standard are enhanced in the Pro version by further allowing per note editing, rather than broader changes in Standard.

A good advantage of Pianoteq Standard though (compared to Stage), is that it can faithfully load and utilize presets (FXP files) created with Pro edits, although you may not further edit those pro edits without Pro, they do play fully in Standard.

Stage is really a fine tool, if no editing is likely and defaults suffice.

Cheers.

Ah! Not sure how I missed this but there are separate trial versions for Stage and Standard - doh!

Thanks for the tip. I will see if Santa's budget stretches to Standard
