Topic: Pianoteq has some competition :-)

For the price of that thing you could get an actual keyboard and they're practically giving away used uprights these days ! Think I'll stick with my cheap and nasty 61 key velocity sensitive midi keyboard. I'd honestly rather have an ancient upright that can't be played but looks nicer than that thing. And with my skills a piano that can't be played would be practically as good as anything else. :-)
Had a quick look on eBay and the prices for some of those cartridges (you know it's a Sega when you hear the word "cartridge") are equally insane.
Weird stuff.
Not my dream. I was going to write a sarcastic comment on your thread but I then realized you have added a “:-)” symbol (emoji) after its title (the “topic subject”). Luckily I didn’t, as it would have been embarrassing if I wouldn’t have noticed that you are being sarcastic yourself (aren’t you?). I assume and bet you are trying to be sarcastic and not that you are happy with the idea of maybe getting one of those toys). I think maybe sjgcit thought you were talking for serious. Were you? I don’t think so.
Just in case anyone isn't sure: this is intended as a joke. I am not endorsing the Sega toy piano. A friend sent me the video, and I found it very amusing.
I never thought you were serious (i.e. that you were suggesting it was a serious competitor to Pianoteq).
I was just pointing out how crazy the pricing was (and I like gadgets, but, jeepers, what people spend their money on !).

My guess the majority of people buying this were extremely wealthy, the price means absolutely nothing to them.
