Topic: Website : longer timeout for writing posts

Maybe it's just me, but I've been caught a couple of times by being automatically logged out while writing a reply to a post here.  I get the impression the timeout for automatic logout if too short and needs to be increased.  Just a short distraction from something else and it kicks me out.  Any one else suffer this ?

Well, given the fact that you got to manually enter BBCode through painstakingly long repetitions whenever you’re needing to format your text entries, you have definitely a reason to complain!

Other forums might provide convenient buttons which format text more efficiently than this one.  They might allot more time as well if you were to make a comparison.  But, you rarely find out because of their inclusion of menus which offer various speedy methods, and, a host of them, you can quickly apply in formatting the text you’d obviously like to input.

Because of that, when I log in I tick "Remember me", then always log out again when I leave. There are other forums I have been on that have the same characteristic, so I'm used to doing it that way.

I run Macs. [well I do have a Lenova with a spectrum analyzer app]
Write my posts onto a dock/post it note.  Take all the time I want to edit.  Then copy/paste into PTQ website reply box.
