Topic: Stay Well and Safe Everyone

I hope everyone is staying well and safe these days as we wait out the path the COVID-19 virus takes. Being isolated gives me more time to spend with Pianoteq and my favorite instrument the 1922 Erard.

I had uploaded some rendered MIDI files from the Stanford University Piano Roll Archive to my Google Drive for those who like classical music played by pianists from an earlier age. Those I need to delete.

So I opened an account with HearThis.AT where I have begun to post some of them in better sound (flac) for download. Here's the link: https://hearthis.at/robertrivard/

Take care!
Robert

Re: Stay Well and Safe Everyone

Thank you, Robert, for your kind wishes to us all who post and read the Ptq forum. And thanks for the time you were with us as a Pianoteq user. I remeber your interest and your nice comments and enjoy about my music with Ptq YC5 (Surprise Ptq YC5).
I have learned in my life, that things don’t always work out the way we hope  But I hope everything has worked out for you. My warmest wishes to you and your family and friends.

Well put Pianoteqenthusiast, so true yet I have also learned from you not to give up on hope and you've inspired me in that.

Hope things improve soon in the wider world and that nobody is called upon to suffer. Best wishes to all.

How kind of you to remember me, Pianoteqenthusiast! Yes, things were not going so well for me last year but my situation has improved a lot. The issue with my ears cleared up and I am working again. I'm back to playing and missed the Erard (1922) so much that I bought a new license from Modartt!

So far so good about the coronavirus here in my community. Only time will tell.

Yes, I do remember your wonderful music and still take pleasure in listening to it. I hope you and your family and friends are doing well through this crisis.

My warmest wishes always,
Robert

Well said, Qexl, and learning about life from the special people who share in the forum makes our lives all the richer and more meaningful.

Take care and Stay safe.

Yes, I'm sure like many others I do think of the Modartt forum as a sort of extended family. I've so often been inspired and learnt so much here. Looking forward to hearing those piano roll renderings when time permits, and thanks again to tmyoung for that incredibly informative post. Stay safe everybody.

Re: Stay Well and Safe Everyone

Things got so bad on Italy that China sent a medical team and a lot of equipment, as there was no respirator enough to ill people with hard  difficult to breath. Italian doctors were cogitating to let weaker people (old in general) to die, to allow respirator devices people with better chances (younger).
At least China starts to recovery, a signal that after a hard time the virus start to diminsh.

DO NOT PLAY PUBLIC PIANOS !!!!
The keyboard it's highly capable of transmit covid-19, since a lot of people touch there. So, no forget about play pianos in airports, bus stations, subway stations etc...

I so agree with you, dazric. We really are a family. There's something about Music that unites us no matter what instrument we play or the style of music we like best. The camaraderie found in the forums was a deciding factor for me when I purchased Pianoteq many years ago.

Today I swapped out the default Erard Recording mic setup with the Bluethner Studio BA mic setup and reverb. Really like how that changed the sound.

Hope you enjoy the piano roll MP3s and I will add a few more with the Bluethner mic setup this weekend.

My best,
Robert

Covid-19 it's starting to hit Brazil more seriously. No confirmed case in my city yet, despite 8 deaths already registered on Brazil.

People here didn't helped. Many went to beach in crowd aglomeration, and other to street crowd for politic protests, despite warnings of health authorites.

I woul like to know how you folks are deeling with that in your countries?
