Topic: Sustain noise vs foot velocity

It appears that sustain noise level is not tied to velocity of pedal action.

Feature request (I may have overlooked it, but didn't find on the forum):
noise level calculated by the velocity of CC64.
Of course that needs a 3 connector pedal.
The faster it goes from 0 to 127, the louder is the noise.

has this been improved? i really miss this also. i want to both slam the pedal and really softly adding sustain without the whoosh.

If you can stand some controversy without your going overboard over an edge, I suggest read and delve into a previous topic: Need improvement for Pianoteq 6.5 for release sound of sustain pedal ?

See if you can get your feet wet!

Pianoteq 8 Studio Bundle, Pearl malletSTATION EM1, Roland (DRUM SOUND MODULE TD-30, HandSonic 10, AX-1), Akai EWI USB, Yamaha DIGITAL PIANO P-95, M-Audio STUDIOPHILE BX5, Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP.

I was speaking metaphorically with my remark about an edge.  It was my attempt at some humor.  Now it just seems feeble.

Philosophically about the limitations and after some exploration on your part, you may answer your question best.

Anyway, I’m just a drummer.  I know this sounds like a cop out!
