Topic: Controlling Pianoteq via OSC (Open Sound Control)

Hi,

I'm using Pianoteq Stage 6 for a while and I need to automate things.
I'm aware on how to control Pianoteq via MIDI, but I'd find it way more convenient to use OSC. Typically I could do things like `http://x.x.x.x/load_instrument`, `CP-80`, `CP-80 Recording`.
This would make super easy to configure custom control surfaces using OpenStageControl https://openstagecontrol.ammd.net/ for example.

As far as I see, there's no OSC support for in Pianoteq Stage 6.

Any plans to support OSC control in future versions ?

Thanks

I found the application proposal very interesting. However, it did not work with any of my music files, although I tried with all formats and files of different types.

I think this "application" is a real scam! Crap that doesn't work. Don't waste your time with him, my friend. Your Pianoteq music files are fine, the "OSC" is probably not working.

Support for OSC is really a missing feature. Search for other discussions in the user forum. OSC would allow for the sorely missing external control of headless Pianoteq devices.

Translation from OSC to MIDI can also be used (someone already implemented that via TouchOSC in https://forum.modartt.com/viewtopic.php?id=4166), but it is unidirectional and incomplete.

Oh yes, that would be great.
I'm programming a lot with Lemur these days, which can do much more than TouchOSC, especially  - but has an insecure future at the moment. A pity, that Pianoteq doesn't send anything back...

Hello,

I would love to add my vote to this request!

Using OSC a lot with Reaper, Bitwig and hardware devices likes Ui24r these days.
It would be nice to use the protocol to control my RPi4 running Pianoteq as well!

Cheers,

Not quite the same thing, but somewhat similar, in v7.5.0 they added the JSON-RPC api (at experimental level) and they improved it since. A few users in this forum (including myself) have played with it, and a couple have even released on github some nice GUIs based on it. Look it up and give it a try with the demo!

Where do I find a list of all posts I upvoted? :(
