Topic: Yamaha P-125

What velocity curve should I use for the P-125?
Don’t see an exact match here, so which would be most appropriate?
Many thanks in advance!

Hi Lend27,

I use the P125 as my main studio desktop controller.
Here is the curve :

It fits my playing style : high dynamic range between pianissimo parts and forte parts.

Velhon

I guess, you are using the "medium" velocity curve setting in the P125?

I prefer the "hard" curve when using the built-in sounds of the P125...
With the "hard" curve, I'm just using a linear curve 1:1 to 100:127 in Pianoteq (and Native Instruments Pianos). Feels fine for me...
