Topic: Suggestion for Steelpans collection

Pianoteq already offers a very nice collection of tuned percussion instruments including the Steelpans collection--

--which includes traditional caribbean steel pans as well as tank drums (tuned steel-tongue instruments played with hand or mallet) and the more recently developed hand pan (hang drum, invented in 2000) and "spacedrum" (similar to the hand pan).

Hand pans & hang "drums", history and information at Wikipedia--

Hang "drum" -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hang_(instrument)

I would like to suggest to the Pianoteq developers the addition to the Steelpans collection of a virtual version of the Rav Vast drum, an advance in engineering of both form and tone, based on both the steel-tongue and hang (hand pan) tuned percussion instruments.

Re: Suggestion for Steelpans collection

that is indeed a cool sounding instrument.  it would be great if they would include it in the collection.  maybe it's not that distant from the current models and wouldn't be too difficult to do.

Steelpans rival EvilDragon argument about a drum be impossible to model due thousands of places the hit could get .
