Topic: SOLVED: Recording PTQ internally

I wonder,

is it possible to record Pianoteq, without using a microphone?
What I mean: instead of sending the sound to the USB-DAC, sending it to a file?
Maybe, there's a possibility to do this within the operating system (Linux, in my case) but I didn't figure out yet.

Audio output to file is possible via an indirect route. You have to create a midi file first, then you can export it as audio (you can use any preset of your choice). If you want to record the audio directly from Pianoteq as you play, there may be a way around that with some sort of audio routing or virtual cables - let's see if any Linux users can suggest something.

For me (and for now) this is good enough. Thank you!

The Pianoteq manual is required reading.

Pianoteq 8 Studio Bundle, Pearl malletSTATION EM1, Roland (DRUM SOUND MODULE TD-30, HandSonic 10, AX-1), Akai EWI USB, Yamaha DIGITAL PIANO P-95, M-Audio STUDIOPHILE BX5, Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP.

I did, but searching for 'recording', I only found the so called "sound recording" as an output option. But beside the name, that option does no actual sound recording.
