Topic: Suggestions for an app to control Reaper from an iPad in Windows 10?

Using Reaper on Windows 10. I don't need a lot of controls--essentially just the transport bar and the ability to save or not save the most recent recording. In other words, I want to use this to record either Pianoteq or a guitar, with recording as the focus, and just hit a button to save or not save what I just recorded. No need to make lots of edits or multitrack.

Maybe check this out: https://hexler.net/.

Have a look at TouchOSC specifically!

Pianoteq 8 Studio Bundle, Pearl malletSTATION EM1, Roland (DRUM SOUND MODULE TD-30, HandSonic 10, AX-1), Akai EWI USB, Yamaha DIGITAL PIANO P-95, M-Audio STUDIOPHILE BX5, Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP.

You can try using Reaper's own built-in web browser interface.

Hard work and guts!

I built a custom Pianoteq interface in TouchOSC/iOS - mainly to quickly switch to my favorite presets and run the transport controls. It’s pretty gee-whiz cool, but in the end I decided it was too much techno-gear. It’s an extra “thing” to turn on, connect and manage, and it’s not much faster than using the trackpad/mouse.

But I could not live without my 3-button foot controller. Very simple for Play-Record-Rewind (and occasionally for turning pages). Also supports an additional Expression Pedal. US$80 on Amazon. logidy pedal

Man, you have built-in web control in Reaper!  That is, something!

Seems to work well. One side of me wishes it allowed a little more control, but of course the intention is to just give you the controls you need for recording. In any event, it would be nice to have this in the standalone version of Pianoteq. Would just allow recording and changing presets, perhaps? Very useful at home for just playing or for recording.
