Topic: Speaker set up

I struggle to get a good pianoteq external speaker sound and have to always play through headphones to immerse myself into the music. My speakers I have on stands using 2 yamaha MSP5s monitors and a VPC1 controller, I could add a subwoofer  but dont want to start spending money if it dont work, or maybe just buy a new complete speaker system.
Really I suppose im just after some good advise and am interested what other pianoteq users use for external playing for home use.

Re: Speaker set up

A lot will use the internal speakers of their digitals.  I wanted some control over the tone. so I bought a small practice amp to augment the bass since my keyboard is a slab.
It worked fine imo, but I thought to improve the situation by buying a second for stereo, and doing away with the internal sound altogether.
I could then leave the headphones in place.
However, the sound is not quite as I'd hoped.  Generally in line with the headphone, but the sound is not good quality and there seems little I can do to improve on that.
I realise now that the internal speakers and amp system on a digital piano aren't bad . . . . .

Next time I pay a visit to the piano shop, I'll take my laptop.

I'm playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order

Re: Speaker set up

Search threads on speakers.  Here's one thread that I contributed to with my monitor speaker setup:
