Topic: Feature request: embed different playback speed within presets
Hi to Philippe and all the PTQ team. Keep up the wonderful work!!
Would it be possible to include the option of saving a different playback speed as part of an instrument preset - in the same way that you can currently specify a particular transposition as part of a preset? With some of my custom-made instrument presets (particularly those using very long reverb times), it would be great if I could set a playback speed for any MIDI file that's played back with that preset.
I realise that if you use PTQ mostly for "live" playing, this feature would be of no use. But I use PTQ mainly as a compositional tool, and I'm sure there must be others who've realised the program's enormous (and expanding) potential in this area.
Sometimes I want to bulk-convert a bunch of MIDI improvisations/compositions using a Mac OS Automator app that was created for me by another forum member (thanks again delt!), and I haven't found a way of specifying a different playback speed within the Automator app. The alternative is to export each file individually from PTQ using the real-time playback speed adjustment in the drop-down menu at the top of the main screen, but this is very time-consuming. I can also do something similar in my DAW (Logic), but again it's only one file at a time. Being able to set a specific playback speed as part of a preset would allow for much greater workflow flexibility for anyone who wants to explore PTQ's compositional resources.
Thanks for considering this possibility!
