Topic: Scala files not working in latest updates (6.2.0 and 6.2.1)?

Hi

Has anyone tried to load their own Scala files into Pianoteq since the last couple of updates? My Scala files aren't working, except in those cases where I had created a preset with that Scala file embedded in the preset.

Any help with troubleshooting this problem would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks

Do you mean Scala files that you've created yourself, or just the imported ones from the Scala file library? So far I haven't had any trouble with the imported ones. But, come to think of it, I have noticed that sometimes Pianoteq will display the wrong name for a Scala file if I have changed it in the preset. For example, a preset with Kirnberger III - I change the tuning to something else, but 'Kirnberger' is still displayed in the main window.

Yes, it works for me. I was able to just open the scala file folder and drag them unto the Pianoteq interface to load them.

I've just tried a file from the Scala archive, and it seemed to work fine. So I think it must be just my own Scala files - which still work fine in Pianoteq 5 (I still have an old install of that). And I think from memory that they worked in the very first version of PTQ 6 I downloaded (v. 6.1.1, from memory).

Re: Scala files not working in latest updates (6.2.0 and 6.2.1)?

Do you create any of your own Scala files? If so, would you mind testing one to see if it still works? I can still get files from the Scala archive to work - it just seems to be the ones I created myself that have stopped working. Thanks.

Yes it works with the ones I've created.

That's a good sign, thanks. Can I ask, are you working on a Mac, Windows or Linux install?

Windows 10 upgrade.

Re: Scala files not working in latest updates (6.2.0 and 6.2.1)?

Okay, thanks. I'm on a Mac but I have a virtual install of Windows, so I'll try running PTQ there and see if the result is the same.
