Topic: Saving Preset's Assigned MIDI Event

In the presets window, you can assign a MIDI event to a select a preset.

I have two questions:

1) I can't figure out how to make Pianoteq remember the assigned event the next time I start up Pianoteq.  Even though I hit the save preset icon, if I close Pianoteq, and open it again, the assigned events are gone.

2) I am not very familiar with MIDI.  What events do people typically use for this kind of control?  My M-Audio Keystation 61 doesn't seem to have a lot of extra MIDI knobs.  It does have Pitch and Modulation wheels, which I don't use, so I've been using those two events to change between Steinway and MKII.  But this is pretty limited.

Thanks,

Re: Saving Preset's Assigned MIDI Event

1) You need to save the MIDI configuration after you assign a MIDI message to a preset, IIRC.

2) You can pretty much use any controller you have available on your Keystation to do your bidding. I would suggest using buttons, rather than continuous controls like wheels and sliders to change between patches, though.

Hard work and guts!
