Topic: Volume slider hard to use?

Does anybody else find the volume slider hard to use?

For me, it's a chore to do simple volume adjustments in Pianoteq.

If I compare it with, for example, the standard Windows 10 volume control, there is no contest.  I can slide or click with ease and precision in the Win 10 slider.  I don't even think about it.  I just go to right where I want to be, each time.

In Pianoteq I have to labor and try multiple times, moving my cursor with care, to do simple adjustments.  The clicking rarely works.

Maybe I am doing something wrong.

(I am aware that up/down is supposed to be fine adjustments, I think.  That, to me, is a bad idea.  Best to make the slider work simply, like all the other sliders in the world)

EDIT:

I figured out the problem.  Pianoteq does not scale the cursor motion to the slider.   It is scaled to an axis that is about twice as wide as the slider.  Not intuitive!

I still don't know what is wrong with the clicking, why on occasion it works, but most times doesn't.

Re: Volume slider hard to use?

You can also right-click, and type in the value you want. Personally I very much like the up/down being finetune adjustment.

Hard work and guts!

I also like the vertical fine-adjust-ability, but wish that the controls had 'hover' check-ability - I frequently try right-clicking just to see where I am (which sometimes shifts the control and thus its value, whereas it just seems to be a little too much trouble to right-click, look at the cells of data, and then close it again, especially when I intend to make changes, if needed, with the mouse rather than the keyboard).

I am using and like the left/right arrows, because left arrow and the slider goes left and right arrow and the slider goes right. It feels logic and easy for me. Works fine.
