There is no problems with a standalone version, it just loads the last used preset with the latest changes. The VST instance when loaded new is always D4 Daily Practice preset. Is there a way to set it to my preset on load?
Yes, but this depends on the DAW you use. You should be able to load your preset in Pianoteq, then set that in your DAW to be the default VST preset when loading the plugin.
I'm using Ableton Live 9. If I set my preset and then save a "Default MIDI Track" or put in into a group and save this group it works as expected, my preset is loaded. But if I just click on a Pianoteq plugin header in Ableton and select the option "Choose default configuration" it still continue to load the D4 Daily Practice preset instead of the one I choose before.
Yep, you'll need to save your own custom rack that has Pianoteq on it with the preset you want, then every time you load Pianoteq, you would load that rack, not just the plugin itself.
