Topic: New modelled stuff from France

To my surprise French Arturia has introduced all these:

Stage-73 V (Rhodes)

B-3 V (Hammond)

And even Piano V !!!!

What do you think?

Re: New modelled stuff from France

Piano is definitely far from Pianoteq's level. Hammond is better, but still no contest to VB3...

Hard work and guts!

I just listened those few demos with my Mac's speaker but I came to same conclusion: piano is very far from PTQ. But it's not a surprise: making a decent piano model takes years and years of careful study. This makes me wonder: Why would we need a new mediocre piano when world is already full of s***t pianos and then there are few jewels out there This been said the new V-collection with introductory price can give you quite a set of vintage synths and keyboards and this may be a good bargain if you don't have this kind of stuff already... hmmm

Re: New modelled stuff from France

Looks as though all of the edits are universal for the piano. No way to change the tuning or unison tuning string by string. Quite a limitation.

Re: New modelled stuff from France

The piano is not ready for prime time, IMO. I have a Scarlett 2i2, and it only gave me two choices for latency with ASIO drivers. The 5.6ms that I chose was much greater in reality.

Suggestion: Back to the drawing board.

Pianoteq 6 Std, Bluthner, Model B, Grotian, YC5, Hohner, Kremsegg #1, Electric Pianos. Roland FP-90, Windows 10 quad core, Xenyx Q802USB, Yamaha HS8 monitors, Audio Technica
ATH-M50x headphones.
