Topic: Studio One 3 - Release Velocity

Hey,

I see that Pianoteq should make use of my Keyboard's (M-Audio Axiom Pro) ability to send "Release Velocity" information.

I am not sure if I can have this effect though, since Studio One 3, as far as I can see, doesn't let me see any release velocity midi data in the piano roll section and therefor maybe doesn't let it through or can't save it?

Should it still work? Can you maybe describe what difference it does to the sound? I am not sure if I hear any difference when I try it.

Re: Studio One 3 - Release Velocity

Can you send a MIDI file which you have recorded in Studio one 3 to the stand alone version of pianoteq? If so use pianoteq's MIDI data display to see if you have off velocity information being transmitted to it.

Re: Studio One 3 - Release Velocity

Great, thanks, I'll try that.

Re: Studio One 3 - Release Velocity

Ok, so the midi data that i produced in Studio One with my Keyboard did have note off / release velocity information. that was shown when I inserted it into pianoteq standalone.

i also couldnt hear a difference between playing it on Studio one and Standalone.

Thanks again.
