Ah! I see. Then billd has your answer, something is not right with your midi keyboard.
Check the midi messages window to see what's happening there to be sure. This is under File > Audio/MIDI Setup > MIDI
You should see something like this when you play a note (A# 3 in this case):
156.149 ch1 Note 070 On (A#3) veloc: 80
156.267 ch1 Note 070 Off (A#3) veloc: 0
Note what it's saying when you hold down a note, and then also AFTER you release the note if there is a message.
I should ask, are you using Pianoteq standalone or inside a DAW?
