Topic: Blue Cat has released a midi and effects scripting plug-in

Apparently it lets the user write midi and effects scripts to create a VST effect that can be applied to any VSTI  program, such as one we often mention on the Pianoteq forum:

Not sure what can done with this, but it seems to open some interesting doors.

Highly interesting. I don't read KVR as much as I did years ago (meaning, I save some money too^^, by the way), so that would have stayed unknown to me.

For people interested and without the time to read the whole manual, they put some shorter explanations into their blog:

Personally I wished I had the time for this, sounds indeed interesting. One aim seems to be to get us going with scripts without learning more difficult scripting languages, and that inside of your daw.

I'm not clear on it ability to work with modulation. The example programs show that it can change a parameter's response to a cc knob. My hope is that velocity can control the response, too. Searching for either modulation or velocity in the on-line manual gives no results, however.

I'm more careful with time these days, too, so I don't read KVR much. I can see where this program could both offer many possibilities and become a deep well into which to dive.
