Topic: Guest (FXP corner)

Who is "Guest" and what is he doing on the FXP corner?

Bill

Re: Guest (FXP corner)

Good question... maybe he would like to present himself.

In the fxp corner, anyone can upload a Pianoteq fxp file. If not being logged in to the forum, then the name will appear as "Guest". It is always better to be logged in since it will be possible to add an audio sample or edit the description at any time if needed.

Re: Guest (FXP corner)

Hihi, that reminded me of an old MS-DOS joke (back in time when a computer was typically booted from a floppy disk ;-):

Error: General failure while reading the disk.

"Who is "General Failure", and why is he reading my disk?" :-)))

Re: Guest (FXP corner)

Since two of the fxp appear to be mine (Steinway D rs and Singing D4 ) I feel compelled to reply... looks like there has been a technical issue in that page, because the "guest" files are duplicates of already posted presets, no one actually posted them. And it's true that if you upload a preset and forget to login, the fxp looks like posted by "guest", that can happen. No need to feel invaded in my opinion, no enemy is violating the forum
By the way, my name is Roberto Soggetti, I'm a composer and jazz pianist, nice to be part of this community.

Re: Guest (FXP corner)

Indeed, it seems someonee has downloaded 5 fxps and uploaded them again. We have removed the duplicate files. Thank you billd and robsogge for mentioning and clarifying.

Re: Guest (FXP corner)

Robsogge, great thanks to you for your .fxp "Steinway_D_rs"! It's so wonderful! I am very happy with this preset!
What sound library it was - if it's not a secret?
P.S. I am going to try your second .fxp))

Re: Guest (FXP corner)

Kridlatec, thank you! No secret, it's "addictive keys" which is the most open Steinway library I have... the pro version of pianoteq is really wonderful, the ability to set each harmonic for each key is outstanding... among many other things. Please consider these presets as works in progress, they still need a lot of work.
