Topic: Blooming harpsichord
Just to share: I was already fascinated by the 'blooming' parameter that mericfully is available for all instruments. Last week I heard a harpsichord on a radio broadcast with a very distinct bloom in its sound (an old recording I thought, but was not able to verify). Of course I tried this in PT, and found the results charming. For my ears this works best with an energy setting of close to 1. Inertia can be varied to taste. The result over the different registers varies. Now if only I had the pro version and a lot of patience...
(A quick internet search taught me that bloom in harpsichords is considered a defect by most, and supposedly caused by inferior or badly installed strings. Nevertheless a very useful and interesting effect, which can breathe some extra life into the harpsichord).
