Topic: ERARD vs CD and BLÜTHNER vs CD
Some days ago I attended a soirée with a very old Erard, restored by Frits Janmaat, Amsterdam. I enjoyed it very much. Also bought A CD with recordings of Liszt, played on an Erard, 2.60 m, dated 1889.
Some time ago I purchased a CD with also music of Liszt, but played on a Blüthner. So now I have the full collection for making comparisons between the PianoTeq models and the CD recordings.
I downloaded the MIDI files from Internet and without any editing submitted them to the standalone PT version. Any mistakes aren't mine. Of course there is a huge difference between a living pianist and a midi file, also I couldn't get the same reverbs. I hope I caught the right timbre and sound of the real pianos in the fxp presets.
