Topic: Pianoteq and Finale Make Music

I am trying to get the Pianoteq sound through Finale Make Music and cannot find my way.

My navigation in FMM has been; Midi - Device Set-up - Manage VST Plug ins - Plug in directory + Add - then lost.
By browsing through the Add function I could not access to a Pianoteq 4 .exe or dll to import.
The farther I could go to was C:\\Program Files\Modartt\Pianoteq 4, then the only file that was visible is documentation.
What am I doing uncorrectly or missing?

Will this give me access to all the Pianoteq instruments or shall I have to select one (through Instrument Set-up - VST Instruments - then choose a channel?)

If there are other users of Finale or Make Music in this forum, have some of you used the Garritan Steinway add-on?  Just out of curiosity.

the vst plugin ist not located in the pianoteq 4 folder. It should be in a "program files\vstplugins" folder. And it is a dll.

EDIT: Yes you can access any pianoteq instrument this way.
Yep I've used the garritan steinway a long time ago before I used pianoteq It was better than the internal sound of my DP, but it had asio and stability issues on my pc. But its no comparison to PTQ in my opinion

I ran a search in the Program Files on my laptop and did not find a VST plugins dll.
Is it a dll that should have come with the dowload of Pianoteq?
Do I have to download it from a special place or site?

On my windows 7 machine the vst's are all located here:
"C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins"

in this folder there should be a pianoteq 4.dll

You're right again, I found the dll in the Steinberg file\VST Plugins.
Unfortunately Print Music does not allow me to open the VST Plugins file, so I cannot transfer the dll.
It stops at the root.
It may be a limitation of PM or a policy from Make Music to "facilitate" the sale of the Garritan sound library.
I'll try to get an answer from their support.

Sorry for Make Music, I was wrong.
When I tried to open the VST Plug ins through Print Music and tried to see the dll for Pianoteq nothing happened, which made me believe of the unpossibility to transfer the dll, but when I reopened Make Music the pianoteq.dll was in the list of available sound library.
So one need to go to VST Plug ins, click add and what's in this file is transfered (in fact I did transfer two pianoteq files by doing this, I guess one must be the dll from the trial version of Pianoteq)
