(slightly trivial) A nice (real?) piano sound.

I stumbled on the album "It's On Tonight" (Brian Culbertson) http://itunes.apple.com/au/album/its-on...id77626586  and I was struck at the nice mellow, pure piano tone. Sometimes it even sounds a bit like a Rhodes.  I have started to notice a certain harshness in many acoustic piano recordings which is hard to describe - it's like a vague echo just after the attack, and it sort of muddies up the tone. I certainly hear none of this problem in this album though.  It's frustrating not knowing how the piano was processed. (or even if it is a real piano at all)
