Topic: Linux Activation Fails

I just bought a Pianoteq license. I do use a Mac but primarily I want to use Pianoteq on Linux. It activates but this has to be done every time I open the app. Activation is fine on the Mac. My Linux is Debian Squeeze with LXDE desktop and Liquorix kernel.

Re: Linux Activation Fails

Hi efflux,

Maybe pianoteq cannot write its preferences in ~/.config/Modartt/Pianoteq36.prefs , or maybe it is crashing during shutdown for some reason ? Please contact us at support@pianoteq.com , with your Pianoteq36.prefs attached if you have one. Also launch it from a terminal window, activate, close it, and check if it displays any error message in the console.

Re: Linux Activation Fails

It's working now.

I deleted the preferences file and activated again. Now I see the preferences file appears to have updated correctly. Maybe there was some problem to do with a previous preferences from the 3.6.5 demo. From command start Pianoteq shows no problems whatsoever. Everything now appears to be functioning faultlessly.

Thanks for making this software run on Linux. It's one of the best software instruments I have ever tried, probably the best. To have this on Linux is fantastic.
