Topic: New UI Animations

I've been using PianoTeq since version 7.  I really like it.  However, a couple of things with the latest version 9.2.4 bug me.

First is the inability to permanently disable the champagne animation.  Figured it'd be a "one and done" thing, but no.  I've reached out to support directly on this earlier today (1/2 hour ago, so I'm not expecting an answer immediately.)

The second, is the new virtual keyboard animation at the bottom.  Can we please have the old one back?  The 3D effect is "cute", but the delayed release of the keys make it more of a distraction than anything.  Try doing a glissando, and you'll see what I mean.  It's like a crowd doing "the wave" at a sporting event.  Yes, we can hide the keyboard, but sometimes it's nice to be able to use it.  A quick up and down of the key (i.e. no slow returns to unpressed) is perfect.  The mantra, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" really comes to mind here.  Please, at least give us the ability to use the other one, or disable needless animations altogether.  My $0.02.

Would love to hear other people's feelings toward this.  Maybe I'm just old...

That's probably because Pianoteq is crashing on exit , just before saving its settings . I would assume it is related to the soundcard. The animation will auto-disappear on 26/09/26 anyway, but I understand you have already seen it enough :-)

The second, is the new virtual keyboard animation at the bottom.

This one is easier to fix , you can go in options / general and click on the 'keyboard appearance' menu.

I miss the fact that the virtual keyboard no longer ages when you set the “Condition” slider to “worn".

Otherwise, I really like the new 3D design.

I don't want them to disappear, I want some toggle/easter egg to have the possibility to party whenever I want in Pianoteq...
