Topic: Exquis Partner in Music

As you know, there is a discount for Modartt customers when purchasing the Exquis on Dualo's website: https://dualo.com/en/welcome/

I have a straight piano keyboard background so learning the new layout presented a challenge. I certainly wasn't happy to prod the keys with two index fingers as seen on some YouTube videos nor to have my elbows stuck out at complete right angles to play chords.

With these factors and others in mind, I've been teaching myself to use to use all 5 fingers to allow legato playing, though mostly 2, 3 and 4 seem to cover most needs.

If you want to look at my ideas they're on the Exquis Discord forum under #Keyboard (user Selinita)

Just to show you what I mean - a simple Major Scale...

Re: Exquis Partner in Music

I was on my way home and heard this melody being played rather badly on an ice-cream van. Whilst at the bus stop, I worked out which notes were being played in my mind and thought it would make an easy, fun piece to play on the Exquis using the Champagne Flute preset ...

Re: Exquis Partner in Music

I should explain...

The above fingering is for the LEFT HAND as the Exquis sits to the left of my PC Keyboard and I usually play it with my left hand. To play it with your right hand as most people will probably do, just swop fingers 2 and 4.

If this is not of interest - let me know and I'll stop contributing ...
