Topic: New Bach Video: Fugue n 1 BWV 870 WTC 2

Dear Friends,

Bringing C major back to life.
Here is my performance of Bach’s Fugue No. 1 in C major, BWV 870 from The Well-Tempered Clavier, Book 2. There’s something pure yet intricate about the architecture of this piece.
Diving into the intricate machinery of JS Bach’s BWV 870. What makes this 4-voice C Major Fugue so fascinating is its structure: rather than relying on heavy dramatic contrasts, Bach weaves the subject into close-knit counterpoint and beautiful stretto passages where the voices closely echo each other. Balancing all four independent lines is a constant, rewarding puzzle.
Turn on the audio and let me know what you think!

Great interpretation, you play extremely well and I liked the tempo and clarity.
And the volume is right.
And ending fr 1,52 is beautiful.

Thank you so much carmelo!

Best wishes,

Stig
