Topic: C3 vs K1

Let's put some comparison here.

Here is a snippet of scriabin etude. C3 is first, K1 second.
Appreciate your comments.

Re: C3 vs K1

They both sound very good. Very different pianos, however, and your recording brings both out well.

Did you use any special setup? (You hardened the mezzo hammer strikes a little?)

Re: C3 vs K1

Thanks.
Yes, modified set-up, but I'm not so experienced with the Pianoteq tuning.
You are also right about the hammer, but I've changed hammer noise to be more louder.

Re: C3 vs K1

Hm...Just listened to the mp3 again. It sets both pianos in the room nicely. Do you mind if I ask what reverb settings you used? Or did you use another reverb entirely?

Re: C3 vs K1

First one (binaural) is standard reverb from Pianoteq and the second one was K1 Solo Recording with different dry/wet and different duration (this I forgot to save :-(.
To be honest I've put these two to the Audacity to cut and merge, but this software put some noise and recording lost some metallic shine little also. But this I didn't want :-) I'm trying to find, what was changed....
Main idea was to compare C3 and K1 :-)
