Topic: Bug? - Velocity Offset on changing preset - Global Vel. on

I use Global Velocity Curves = ON

My custom velocity curve (including Velocity Offset) is saved as a Preset

When I load it, the curve and velocity offset are both loaded successfully

But when I switch preset, only the curve remains; the offset resets to 0

It would be better for my use if the offset stays the same (when global velocity is ON)

Thoughts? Thank you

I would consider it as a feature not a bug. I guess the philosophy/approach is to use a global velocity curve to keep a consistent behaviour/response of the digital piano or midi controller you are using and to tweak the curve using both velocity offset and/or volume at key or range of keys levels in order to refine tuning  at preset level.  By doing so , you end up with a standard curve complemented with  presets or instruments specific adjustments to adjust brightness or darkness .

Ah I see, thank you for the explanation.

In that case, a cool feature might be a button which computes combination of velocity curve and velocity offset into a new velocity curve.

But I see now I'm not using this offset feature quite as intended.

you are welcome .  Now combining it into a single new curve would defeat the purpose as the new curve will apply changes to all keys . You want to be able to ‘tune’ the curve for certain registers only . Good luck with your adjustments , this is the most critical part of achieving the ideal symbiose between your controller and pianoteq or any library  and it is worth spending a lot of time refining it .

Is there, then, note for note edit options for velocity curves? I've never preset the "global" button!
