Topic: Played Twice (Pianoteq)

here's a classic tune by Monk, "Played Twice."  the chord progression is certainly quite bizarre but it always amazes me how his choices have such an inner logic.  i think the strange cadence A7 to D in the key of C must be inspired by the playing of Jimmy Yancey.  he often ended his performances with a cadence in Eb no matter what key the song was in!

Hi Budo, quite interesting with unexpected elements, just from my ears, I can't talk on the technical level. I found it very relaxing - in a good way!

Thanks for sharing!

This interesting work is in very good hands with you.
Great pleasure listening to this, thank you budo.

Ending last 4 seconds - fits perfectly with the rhythm you have in the music. Cool ending. Love it.

Best wishes,

Stig
