Topic: BWV 606 Vom Himmel hoch, da komm ich her (Organteq 2)

Short Chorale Prelude by Johann Sebastian Bach, taken from the Orgelbüchlein, "Vom Himmel hoch, da komm ich her" BWV 606.

The Orgelbüchlein is a collection of 46 Chorale Preludes for organ, composed by Bach with a educational purpose; the melodies are not by Bach but are taken from traditional liturgical chants of the Lutheran Church.

BWV 606 is a choral prelude specifically for the Christmas time.
Many play this short prelude lively and with joy, ahead of the upcoming  sacred religious holiday (and a worldwide cultural celebration), Christmas time.

lovely performance.  i love all the arrangements in the little organ book, i just wish he put more treatments in the book!  great choices with the registration too!
