Topic: Irish accordion VST

Hi! I'm lookin for a VST for dryish diatonic accordion sound for macOS. Can someone recommend one? Unfortunately Pianoteq don't seem to have any accordions, that would be so handy.

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with those accordions but perhaps Organteq could fit the bill? https://www.modartt.com/organteq_overview
Most demos are quite wet, but I guess you can turn reverb off and make it dry?

Where do I find a list of all posts I upvoted? :(

Hi and thanks for the suggestion.

With accordions wet vs. dry refers to the tuning of the multiple reeds of a same note, it can not be adjusted with reverb settings.

Re: Irish accordion VST

I saw the announcement of an free harmonium-VST here:

Perhaps this is o.k. for you:

Thanks, yes there are so many of them so I was wondering it someone knows one worth recommending.

Re: Irish accordion VST

The only stop on OrganTeq that's remotely like an accordion reed is the Schalmei 4'. But this is one octave above ideal...

You can make the sound 'wet' by using two stops and detuning one. The bellows can be emulated by use of the expression pedal (CC11) but it's really not what you'll want as you're buying a Pipe Organ with all its grandeur just to use one stop and get close to an Accordion / Harmonium but not completely where you want to go..

Here are some demos for you to hear...

DRY

WET

WET Bandoleon (8' & 4')
https://forum.modartt.com/uploads.php?f...%20WET.mp3

Hope that helps ???

I found this one that Joel developed for the phase plant synthesizer. Since it is pure synthesis it might be tweakeable to your needs.
