Topic: Parameters MIDI control - AKAI MIDI MIX

Hi,

I use a very standard control surface AKAI Midimix to control the different parameters of Pianoteq while experimenting.

The problem I have is that I cannot use Bank left/right because they trigger a note on/off, so I can't take advantage of further CC to control more parameters on Pianoteq, other than the initially assigned.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? I have had a look into Pianoteq setting but I don't seem to find a workaround..

Thanks in advance,
David

the bank buttons are hard wired and not programmable with the midi mix . So the workaround is perform a midi transform function to intercept the note on/off message coming from the akai midimix  and transform it to whichever cc message you want to send . There many tools available to do that depending on your computer OS : midi Ox , midi pipe , Bome translator , or script in reaper ( there are plenty available online )

In that case I'd be able to assign a parameter to the newly transformed CC (bank left/right) , but I still cannot use another actual bank to assign new parameters to the rest of knobs and faders, is that correct?

no, unless you re-program the midi translator tool or method you opt for, to perform this function and decide which preset is active .
