Topic: PianoTeq SVG Logo?

Hey,

Ive updated my PTQ to v843 today and noticed the new package does not contain any .svg logo for the .desktop file (Desktop / Start Menu Icons) and even worse the WMClass (responsible for App Icons in the Gnome "Dock" (Windows Taskbar).

Ive found some old .png Modartt Logo with my previous PTQ versions and use it now - but it takes like 3 seconds after PTQ starts until I see the App-Icon in Gnomes "Task Bar". This bugs me, and I think its due the .png file.

Does anyone know a source for some official .svg logo?
And why Modartt does not include it with the Linux Package?

If your PTQ9 features some .svg, Im happy to receive it.

Cheers

Re: PianoTeq SVG Logo?

If you run ./"Pianoteq 9" --install-app-icon-and-quit it will create the .desktop file, and will install the icon in ~/.local/share/Modartt/

Re: PianoTeq SVG Logo?

Hello,

thank you.
Unfortunately, I can not confirm,
neither the Trial Version of PTQ9 nor my payed version 8 do create anything on Ubuntu 24.04.3, Kernel 6.14.0.

./"Pianoteq 9" --install-app-icon-and-quit -> No Feedback at all
./"Pianoteq 8 STAGE" --install-app-icon-and-quit -> Thanks to my Settings, I get some feedback of PTQ missing JACK Server before it quits -> the "--install-app-icon-and-quit" Option therefor seems to have worked and PTQ actually started and quit.

But theres nothing in:

~/.local/share/ -> No Modartt Folder
~/.local/share/icons/hicolor/
~/.local/share/applications
/usr/share/applications (no sudo, so obvious)

Tried running "--verbose" but the option does not exist. --help wasnt showing any other options I might try.
