Topic: Does Modartt provide older versions of Pianoteq for download?

I just upgraded to the v9 from v8. I think it improved the sound of some piano models that I own, e.g. NY Steinway D and YC5. I also like the thunder pedal a lot.

But, I also think that it made the HB Steinway D sound _worse_*. And specifically the HB Steinway D Jazz preset, which is the one I mostly use.

EDIT: ok, scratch the below, I'm blind. There is a text link for downloading older versions on the user area download page right below the links to the newest version.

~~So I'm wondering if I'll be able to download the v8 to get access to the best sounding version of this particular piano. After the upgrade, I can only see the v9 download in my user area and this has me worried.~~

* details on worse sound:
- The new model lacks midrange presence/harmonics and sounds more "hollow"
- This also causes it to sound somehow more "synthetic" or artificial than before
- It is also less muddy and maybe the attack is a bit nicer, but lacking that midrange presence is a deal breaker for me

You can download v8, but also the v8 versions of the Steinways to use in v9. Go to the legacy piano section in the user area for this

Excellent, thank you! I was hoping that there was an easier way instead of having to juggle two different versions of Pianoteq, and looks like it's already in place. Cheers!
