Topic: Pianoteq 10 When and What
Just kidding
Really, I just wanted to express my gratitude to the team for v9. I've tried it out extensively over the last few days and am so thrilled with the improvements to the resonance model. An overall improvement to the (already excellent) v8 tone was my primary hope with a new version, and v9 delivers it in spades.
I'm still gushing over the Bluthner improvements!
Because I enjoy messing up individual keys in the note editor to practice playing on flawed performance instruments, being able to adjust the hammer hardness per note is incredible! It also opens up design opportunities, as it makes timbre changes in different ranges very, very user friendly.
And the extended dynamic range of the thunder pedal is a feature I didn't even know I wanted. Now that I have it, I won't give it back
Pianoteq is like a product from a parallel universe, where there are dozens of model based piano engines and the competition is fierce. Pianoteq is in a league of its own and the fact that you keep pushing the envelope regardless shows so much passion -- it's inspiring. Bravo, Pianoteq team. This is a slam dunk, and I hope this will be recognised in the wider Virtual Instrument market.
