Topic: A Historical Organ fr. 1680, Bach BWV 558 (Organteq 2) tuning 465Hz
Bach BWV 558 Prelude and Fugue, with Historical organ, 1680, Orgtq 2, tuning 465Hz!
At 29 Nov. 2019 I had my first upload with Organteq 1, and a bit later this BWV 558 20.01 2020.
Here now with an organ, Schnitger l from 1680, an organ that Bach possible used.
Here we can hear the fantastic possibilities with Organteq 2. An over 300 year old organ, physically modelled! This is how Bach possible sounded. Organteq 2 includes 18 historical organs. Incredible!
Don't compare with today's big organs. This is how it possible sounded a long time ago…
Tuning 465Hz
The organ is probably somewhat out of tune at the time, as one can perhaps assume.
Anyway I like this ”old” sound.

NOTICE:I read somewhere that the organs were not always in good condition. Bach applied for a job but he thought the organ was so bad that he didn't accept the job… !!!
Many thanks to Dr. Roman Auvray (and the team: Pr. Philippe Guillaume, MsBA Niclas Fogwall, Dr. Juliette Chabassie, Dr. Robin Tournemenne, Dr. Alexis Thibault, Dr. Julien Pommier, Cp.E Guillaume Joly, Dr Xavier Morel and Dr. Guillaume Castera) for these Historical organs.
All the best, everyone
