Topic: “Song For GV” Jazz Fusion (Steinway HB Jazz)

”Song For GV” is a tribute to my friend, drummer, and bandmate Gary Venable who passed away this month. We played together for 30 years. I used the Steinway Hamburg Jazz preset with an increased age setting.

In 2016, I recorded a duet album with Gary. Here is a video of a piano/drum improvised duet called “Kinetic” using Pianoteq  (Blüethner):

I’m so sorry for your loss. And it is a very kind thing to make Song for GV - a tribute.
I listened with interest and found  a section I really liked much, the Steinway really shines from about 3,30 - 4,16. Great impro and a bit aggressive in places. Good job!
Thank you for sharing these two pieces.
And nice to see your ”music studio”.

Best wishes,

Stig
